WINTER SUN GAME GUIDE

The following will be a brief  guide of Winter Sun's game controls.

One of the many wonders of Wintersun. It's fighting style is different from most of the other RPG games. As a result, many are dumbfounded by its lack of an 'attack' button whih would normally be found on the bottom right part of our device. Nonetheless, that is why i decided to make this page a 'basic' tutorial for first-timers who just joined Winter Sun!

The wind whipped wild through Wintersun.

The air was moist and thick as gum.

The Norson Druids descend on Duu.

Its city walls now cooked like stew.

While children lie on beds of blood, their Mother’s screams still twist the air.
Their dreams interred in graves of mud…

Their Bodies mixed…, and mangled in despair.

A lone blue Knight recalls the fight… and grips his head, hung low.
Incarcerated
in horror. Cloaked in ash… in dust…, and the gore of foe.

The scene distilled, horrific and serene

As the ancient druids approaches…

Chills incensed the panic in their pace
With anger hot, as steam encased…

Aghast, they chant their vengeance loud…

The distant hounds of doom howl…, slaked and proud.

Firstly, take note of the icons at your top left of the screen. There are 4 icons there.

1) The Paper Icon aka Menu

-It opens your MiniMap, Equipment, Player/Faction Stats, Setting and Logou

2)The Chat Icon

-It opens up 3 tabs of chating box for your character to use: Map, Nearby and Sword Icon. After you are in a clan, you will have a Clan chat too.

Map

-Tap this tab to talk in Global Chat, which will reach to everyone in WinterSun except those inside dungeons. Everytime you log in, it will mention how many peope are online. Also, please remember to type /help to know the list of commands which include 'adding friend' & 'joining clans' & more.

Nearby

-Tap this tab to speak in nearby chat, which is for you to speak to people who are next to you. This option is good if you do not want to spam the Global Chat. The message you typed will also appear above your head like is the picture beside. This chat also shows NPCs chat, their recorded speech, nothing much.

Sword Icon

-This tab is mostly useless, it just shows your attacks and damage hits, also shows if you are dead, but you would already have known.

4) The Bag Icon

-This is one of the most important icon. It is the 'Inventory' button!

*TIP*

There is supposedly NO limitations on the amount of item you can have in your bag (I have about 50 items in my bag and it still have not reached maxed capacity). However, due to the confusing structure of the Equipment window, it is better to sell the things that you do not really need.

This is the MiniMap. As you can see there are 3 different color of dots on the mao. These dots are the friends that you have added.

Blue Dot: Online

Grey Dot: Offline

Yellow Dot: Yourself

The yellow dot got covered, but it would be there in your map. My friend's dot unfortunately covered mine.

The map is seperated into 7 different areas.

For Protecterates, your starting map would be at the top left island, after crossing a bridge at the Circle outline.

For Monsters, your starting map will be at the

Arrow outline  where you have to cross a bridge to a map not shown on this.

For Druids, your starting map will be inside the cave of a tree trunk at the Hexagon Outline.

<- This slot is for Helmets

<-This slot is for Shoulderpads

<- This slot is for Boots

<- This slot is for Chestplates

<- This slot is for Weapons/Accessory

-IMPORTANT-

For now, Gloves & Trousers cannot be worn, due to a glitch in the game. But, If you dont need them in future, then sell them.

*TIP*

Speed items are useless, as it decreases too much armor for little speed, therefore, sell them away as they only take up space.

3) The Sword Icon

-This is one of the most important icon. It is the 'Attacking' button!

{How to attack an NPC?}

1) Tap on the supposed NPC

2) Tap on the sword icon

That's it! You are hitting it :D

*TIP*

If you are being chased by a higher level NPC and you do not want to die because you will be warped to a faraway cemetery or something. Simply, relog. That's right, the moment you go offline, the NPC will start walking back to its patrolling area and you will still be alive. Just make sure to log off before at least 20% of your hp is remained. Or else you will still die due to lag or the slow processing speed.

(*) The Looting Icon

-This is one of the most important icon. It is the 'Looting' button!

{How to Loot?}

1) If you see the NPC's bones have a sparkle, it means that it has dropped an item.

2) Tap on the dead NPC and tap the Bag Icon on your top left toolbar.

3) Tap on the Bag Icon beside the item.
